The WECON.DIGITAL Insta+VAM2 package is a 2D/3D capturing solution that includes hardware, software and service at once. It enables all professionals with all backgrounds to quickly capture and visualise their workforce and scenes with minimum to no investment in hardware and human capital.

The package enables you to capture the scene with all sorts of the simplest methods, such as holding a tripod-mounted with a hardhat and capture through standing, walking or biking. There is no prior training required.

With this package, you will have all types of accessories that are needed for different capturing methods. It supports project tracking, status record and digitalisation. A list of accessories are included in the package.

Users, so-called “uploaders,” can upload the 360 videos and/or 360 images to the VAM2 platform, with assets labelling and sorting. Our data processing team will download it from the other side and process it to create high precision 3D models (point cloud & mesh), and then upload it back to your VAM2 space. Your package will include processing credits, and it is following pay as you go mode.

Your team can directly visualise the 3D results along with other assets on your web browser, as well as download the 3D models and integrate them into your platform or workflow.

The WECON.DIGITAL Insta+VAM2 package includes two Insta One X2 360 cameras and a customised tripod. You can capture the scene simply with video or images. You can either use a tripod, walkthrough, or bike through a scene with the video being captured with remote control. [Video tutorial]

Once you purchased any of the plans, you will receive an email with your username and password. You can log in to the VAM2 SaaS platform with your user details.

You can choose to open an existing project or create a new project in your own space, with other users assigning. It only takes a few seconds to create a new project.

It depends on your plan and the setting of the project. If your project is private, your viewer, uploader, editor and admin can view the project. If you published the project as a URL, then there is no restriction. Anyone with access to the URL will be able to view your project.

The VAM2 platform provides different user authority levels to enable a more secure way to manage your assets and projects.

Uploader – The uploader account can be assigned to your on-site worker or part-time agency. They can capture, upload and label assets. For example, they can label each panorama image/video in a specific room of your worksite map. However, they do not have the authority to download or delete any of your files.

Viewer – The viewer can view your project but cannot add, delete or edit any files.

Editor – The editor can upload, download, delete, and modify any of your assets in the project and disable some files from viewing for the viewer.

Admin – The admin can do everything that the editor can do, plus managing other user account and accessibility of specific projects and files.

No. You can directly access your Visual Asset Management VAM2 Platform via any updated browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and more. It means you can also access it via your mobile or iPad browsers.

We are not offering any mobile application yet; we will be launching a mobile application soon.

No. You can upload any 360 images, 360 videos and images captured by phone or DSLR camera to the VAM2. You can also upload, view and visualise 3D point cloud and mesh. There is no limitation on the individual file size. Your storage size is depending on your plan. You can always upgrade your plan with us.

We are providing the Insta One X2 360 camera for you. You can use it with a combination of a mobile phone or DSLR camera. You can produce an outstanding result with the Insta One X2 alone. The Insta+VAM2 package combines hardware, software and service, while the VAM2 purchase is the software only. We do not offer data processing services separately. It is also more economical to purchase Insta + VAM2 compared to VAM2 if you need 3D models.

The Insta + VAM2 package enables you to capture 360 images, 360 videos and 3D models (point cloud and mesh) at once. You have complete ownership of all the data you captured or reproduced. You can download all the 3D models we processed; it means you can still have full control of these valuable datasets even if you cancel the subscription. It also enables you to capture measurable 3D models directly with no investment in human resources, software and hardware.

This package also allows you to employ part-time workers or agencies to capture the data for you without worrying about the privacy and ownership of your 3D models. In addition, you can connect your 3D models with all types of assets and set up user authorisation for different users. They will not have access to other contents of your project or the final 3D models.

For the length of the video – The simplest way is to estimate the amount of time for you to walk, bike or scoot(with a scooter) through the space — which will determine the length of the 360 videos you captured. It might also depend on the space size, structure and other related factors.

Although we highly recommend you capture the entire space with 360 videos to produce 3D models, you can also use the tripod or handheld stick to capture 360 images. You can place your tripod approximate 3-5 meters from each other and capture it with different heights. We provide a customised tripod that enables you to capture accurate, measurable data for your 360 images or 3D models.

It will be stored in the SD card in the camera, which is included in your package.

Along with the purchase of the package, your camera sets will be tied with your VAM2 account. Once you plug in the camera with your laptop or computer, it will automatically upload and process your 360 images/videos. It might take some time to process your file, be patient. Once it is uploaded, our processing team will notify you and send you an email once they start to process your work. We will ensure all clients receive their 3D models within 48 hours.

Of course, you can upload as many files as you wish, but your total storage is depending on the plan you selected. All file types are accepted, but not all the files are directly viewable via the browser. You can also check out all the viewable file formats via our website.

Yes. If you follow our instructions to capture only a few measurement pairs, your final 3D models or 360 images will contain measurement values. You can directly use the measurement function on VAM2 to manually measure in between any two pixels(points).

Yes, you can export your entire project as a URL(website), so anyone with the link can see it. You can also embed it on your website simply with a plug-in.

Yes, you can download the 3D point clouds and mesh once the processing team uploads the model. You can also modify your file in other software, such as for CGI rendering and more.

You will either need to upgrade your plan or delete some of the unnecessary files. Do not delete the default “Upload” project, but you can delete all the files in the project if you don’t need them anymore.

No, the subscription is paid annually, and it cannot be paused but canceled. After you cancel your subscription, your status will still be active until the current period ended. Once your subscription expired, you will no longer have access to your project structure and files. Therefore, we recommend that you download all the files and data before the expiration date.

Yes, but it is not an option for this Insta + VAM2 package. You should contact our sales team directly. We will offer you further instruction on setting up your own standalone or cloud-based VAM2 account. The standalone or cloud-based VAM2 options are much more expensive than the SaaS option. However, it provides you with greater authority.
